Once I had a student from Europe who was in his 80s. He told me that he was a president of a company. Listening to that, I thought that he ran a restaurant or a souvenir shop with his family. He winked and took some pictures out of his bag. "These are what my company makes", he said. What I saw on the pictures were.... a tunnel, a huge bridge, a railroad bridge, and much more! He was the head of a big construction company.
His youngest son had married a Japanese lady, and he wanted to talk with his grandchildren in Japanese. I was so impressed by him and learned from him that man should not lose his mind to study however old you are.
