Could you imagine where the room in the picture above is? It is in the Imperial Palace in Tokyo. This is a very typical Japanese room with white sliding doors, called "Shoji", which are made of wood and paper. When you have these doors, you can enjoy mild sunlight through them. The room contains minimal furniture, but it is beautiful. Though I also like rooms with decorative furniture, I love simple and modest Japanese rooms with few furnishings.
The men in the picture are His Majesty the Emperor and his guest.
