heart-warming

Amanohashidate in Kyoto Prefecture---One of the three most beautiful landscapes in Japan

I used to work at a Japanese language school when my children were still small. Sometimes they were sick, however I couldn't be absent from my classes, particularly during the test week. At such times, I used to leave their lunch beside their beds before leaving for work. My heart was torn with guilt. But they have now grown strong and in good health. When I talk about my children to my students of these days, they sometimes say, "Oh, if your children want to study in my country, I'll help them!" It is an unexpected big reward for me to hear such heart-warming words after overcoming the difficult times of raising children.
