coating

Around 20 years ago, I was on the training course for new Japanese language teachers for non-native speakers. There, my teacher said, "It is a mistake to say, 'I have already taught it to you' to students. You need to have them practice like giving a wall many coats of paint." The words impressed me and since then, I always have tried to "coat" the language. The other day, I found a flyer from a computer class in my mail box, which said, "Even if you ask the same question 100 times, we don't get mad" I thought, "This is how Japanese language teachers should be, too."
