frogs
In Kyoto, the season for planting rice seedlings has arrived. The rice fields overflow with water, and seedlings there are happily swaying in the wind. How I relish this scenery! And then, a lot of frogs start to appear. At night, they croak so loudly that I feel like contradicting the famous Haiku poem by Basho, which highlights the silence:
An old silent pond...
A frog jumps into the pond,
splash! Silence again.
