Tokyo energy
As you might know, Kyoto is Japan's old capital. It is the center of traditonal cultures of Japan. A student of mine was engaged in traditional art. One day, he went to Tokyo on a business trip and stayed there about one week. When he came back to Kyoto, he looked full of energy. He said that he had many chances to get in touch with the modern architecture, theater, music and so on which were very exciting. As he is surrounded by traditional old things in his daily life in Kyoto, new things in Tokyo stimulated and inspired him. Perhaps I should also sometimes go to Tokyo!! (But for what sake?)
